The Nubian Village
The Nubian Village
The "Nubian Village" is situated in the city of Gharb Soheil, in Aswan, Egypt. Aswan is around 860 km/350 miles south of the capital city of Cairo and is known for lodging a portion of Egypt's most antiquated remnants. This little town is more than the eye meets.
Nubia is a region along the Nile river, including the zone between the primary waterfall of the Nile (only south of Aswan in southern Egypt) and the conversion of the blue and white Niles (south of Khartoum in focal Sudan) or, all the more carefully, Al Dabbah. It was the seat of the earliest civilization of old Africa, the Kerma culture, which kept going from around 2500 BC until its triumph of the New Kingdom of Egypt under Pharaoh Thutmose I around 1500 BC. Nubia was home to a several people, most conspicuously the realm of Kush, which vanquished Egypt during the eighth century BC during the rule of Piye and governed the nation as its Twenty-fifth Dynasty (to be supplanted a century later by the local Egyptian Twenty-6th Dynasty).
Geography
Nubia was divided into three significant areas: Upper, Middle, and Lower Nubia, regarding their areas along the Nile. Lower alludes to regions downstream and upper alludes to regions upstream. Lower Nubia lies between the First and the Second Cataracts, inside the current borders of Egypt. Center Nubia lies between the Second and the Third Cataracts. Upper Nubia lies south of the Third Cataract.
The Nubian Village is like a small town with its own culture. Camels moved around the streets, many shop owners displayed their wares and sold local products with much Nubian handicraft being on sale.
